A limited edition print is a work of art on paper, a fine art reproduction of an artist's original work. In order to duplicate the artist's palette exactly, as many as 8 colors may be used. It can take several months and numerous proofs to accomplish this. With each proof, refinements are made by the artist.

When the artist approves the final proof, the edition is printed under his supervision. Each print is signed in pencil by the artist and consecutively numbered. Pencil is used because graphite cannot be photographically reproduced, thus ensuring the print's authenticity.

Once the total number of the edition is printed, no further fine arts will be produced. All plates and films used in producing the print are destroyed.
